In order to join EGR students have to be enrolled within the Webster University system. Membership, however, is not limited to students at the Business and Management Department and interested students from all fields can join the ECON Reading Group. Membership duration as an active member is for an entire course of study, including students of graduate programs. Although membership is free, in order to maintain "active" status and to be listed as a member of EGR an active participation in the group's activities is required. The core purpose of EGR is an intensive examination with the most recent developments in the field, which will require students to do additional reading beyond their regular classwork. Additionally, we hope that on occasions such as workshops and conferences students will take the opportunity to present their own work. Such presentations and the research underlying it can be conducted with the full support of EGR, for we hope to see our members have an impact on the scientific community beyond WUV
The ECON Reading Group is hoping for the active participation of WUV faculty, whether it be in the form of workshop participation, presentations of their research, or suggested readings for the group. As with students, participation is not limited to members of the Business and Management department.
